1.1 The S14 series rotor type sand mixer is an efficient, low consumption, and high-quality new type of sand mixer, suitable for sand treatment production lines with high productivity in large and medium-sized casting workshops. It is mainly used for mixing clay type sand and can also be used for mixing and processing powder and granular materials in industries such as chemical, glass, and building materials.1.2

3,Principle of mixing
The S14 series rotary sand mixer is designed based on drawings imported from abroad (BMD Company TM series) after digestion. Its working principle is that the low-speed transmission scraper pushes the mixture in radial and tangential motion within the machine basin, allowing the sand to move forward while being mixed. The high-speed rotating rotor blades not only exert impact force on the sand, but also cooperate with the scraper to exert shear force on the sand, causing rapid diffusion and strong friction between the sand particles, thereby achieving the goal of high sand mixing efficiency and good quality. This machine has a simple structure, convenient maintenance, high reliability of the transmission system and mixing mechanism, and is currently an ideal sand mixing equipment.
4,Structure and characteristics
The machine structure consists of an engine body, a transmission mechanism, a mixing mechanism, and a scraper. The main motor is installed on the motor base, and the power is transmitted to the reducer through the belt pulley and D-shaped triangular belt. The output shaft of the reducer is connected to the column through a chain coupling. The main shaft drives the crosshead to rotate counterclockwise, causing the scraper device to push the molding sand to form a circulation. The motor base is equipped with a tensioning mechanism. Install a reducer and body on the base, and bear all the load of the machine. It is fixed on the foundation of the sand mixer; The reducer is installed on the base, and during major repairs, the chain coupling can be detached to horizontally pull out the reducer for repair, without the need to disassemble components such as columns. The protective covers are respectively fixed on the motor base, and the parts of the protective covers are universal regardless of whether the motor is installed on the left or right side of the reducer. There is a pair of spiral bevel gears and a pair of cylindrical helical gears inside the reducer, which are lubricated by oil bath and splash lubrication. The reducer has a reasonable structure and is easy to maintain, ensuring trouble-free operation within three years.
The hybrid mechanism includes two sets of rotors and an upper shroud. Two sets of rotor mechanisms are symmetrically installed on the upper shroud, forming an independent system. The motor directly drives the rotor to rotate through a narrow V-belt, and cooperates with the scraper to complete the impact shear and friction effects on the molding sand. The upper casing adopts a detachable type, which is connected to the casing of the machine body with bolts. The rotor is self integrated and fixed on the upper casing, making it easy to replace and repair. The supporting bearings are made of domestic famous brand Wafangdian bearings, and the bearings are lubricated with lithium based grease (centralized lubrication by manual dry oil pump). The upper cover is equipped with new and old sand quantitative scales (large scales) and various powder quantitative scales (small scales) connecting frames, as well as ventilation and dust removal ports and water feeding pipes. There are also maintenance doors and observation windows, which allow the machine to observe its operation through the observation window. The upper shroud can open the access door during cleaning and maintenance, facilitating the maintenance and replacement of rotor blades. The maintenance door is equipped with a limit switch, which automatically cuts off the power supply after opening, preventing the machine from starting and ensuring the safety of cleaning and maintenance workers. To reduce the maintenance and cleaning workload of operators, in addition to the maintenance door set on the upper enclosure, the inner lining of the machine basin is made of stainless steel plate( δ= 6mm), and diabase cast stone slab is used as the bottom lining plate to solve the problem of sand sticking in the machine basin. The rotor body and output flange of the rotor shaft are connected by bolts, and the worn surfaces of the rotor blades are welded with hard alloy blocks, which has a long service life and is easy to replace.
The scraper device consists of three sets of bottom, middle, and top, with a total of six sets of scraper plates installed on the crosshead and driven by the main shaft for rotation. The bottom scraper is welded with hard alloy blocks and divided into several pieces according to the degree of wear. They are fixed on the scraper body with bolts for easy replacement and adjustment. The wear surface of the middle and top scraper is welded with tungsten carbide hard alloy.
To emphasize that the high-speed rotating rotor blades not only exert impact force on the molding sand, but also cooperate with the scraper to exert shear force on the molding sand, two static scraper plates are specially installed next to the two rotors, and the grinding surface of the static scraper plate is welded with tungsten carbide hard alloy.
