The Film-Coated Sand Production Line is an integrated system for preparing resin-coated foundry sand from selected natural quartz sand, thermoplastic phenolic resin, and additives.

It combines sand storage, metering, electric heating, mixing, weighing and feeding, crushing, cooling, screening, dust collection, and centralized electrical control in one coordinated production process.

During operation, measured sand enters the drum electric heating furnace and is heated to 160–180°C.

The heated material is transferred to the coated sand mixer, where resin and additives are automatically introduced according to the production formula.

A 450 kg batch can be mixed in approximately 3–4 minutes. After mixing, the coated sand passes through crushing, cooling, elevation, and vibrating screening before entering the finished-sand hopper.

The line includes a Φ1500 mm mixer driven by a 90 kW motor, a 150 kW drum heating system, a 100 kW mixer heating system, and an automatic weighing and feeding arrangement for sand, solid resin, liquid resin, and additives. PLC and touch-screen control support both manual and automatic operating modes, centralized process supervision, equipment status indication, and alarm functions.

A pulse dust collector provides 110 m² of filtration area, 26,200 m³/h of air volume, dust-removal efficiency above 99%, and an emission concentration of no more than 30 mg/m³.

The production line is intended for stable coated-sand preparation, offering good flowability, thermal stability, fast curing, low gas generation, low expansion, and reliable demolding performance for foundry and machinery-parts applications.

Its integrated arrangement also supports orderly material transfer, straightforward operation, and convenient routine maintenance.
